MOSCOW - The City of Movies.

Moscow, the capital of Russia is the place which actually deserves the title to be known as the city of movies. I have several reasons to support it. Russian Films like War and Peace, Anna Karenina,etc. are often considered as one of the best World Classics. It is interesting to note that these films are made in the city of movies, Mosco.

If you have ever visited the Mosfilm Studio in Moscow, you will also support me in my statement that is Moscow is the city of Movies. More than 3000 movies have been made in this city! All the works behind the scenes are done there in the Mosfilm Studio, ranging from shooting to recording. Mosfilm Studio has a large number of big halls. There are separate museums for costumes and cars used in movies in the Mosfilm Studio.There are more than 1500 workers working for the Mosfilm Studios within the various workshops associated with the car museum. Their job is to repair the cars in the car museum of the Mosfilm Studios. The most interesting feature of the Mosfilm Studio is the portion of the Studio in which the 19th century Moscow is recreated as it was then. The interesting thing about that portion is that the buildings are made of with cardboards, plywood, and thick clothes! Even the milestones in the recreated city are made of Thermocols!

There is a music studio in the Mosfilm Studio which is capable of recording the performances of more than 250 artists! A cycle and a pistol are kept in the Mosfilm Studios. You may wonder what's the importance of that cycle and that pistol. It is that the cycle belonged Vladimir Lenin and the pistol was that of Nikita Khrushchev's.

They include The Foreign Relations and Distribution Department, Television Rights and Online Projects Department, Central Operational Department, Camera and Lighting Department, Tone studio (Sound Studio) Production Complex, Editing Section, Telecine (Television & Cinema) Complex, Computer Graphics Production Section, Film Processing Laboratory, Staging Facilities Complex, Mosfilm-Decor story (Setting Building Subdivision), Military and Technical Cinema Depot, Motor Transport Workshop, Mosfilm-Info Information Centre, Department of Actor Records and Casting, Mosfilmofond Section (Collection of Mosfilm Production), Creative, Production and Technical Personnel Records Agency, Hotel of the Mosfilm Cinema Concern, Museum of the Mosfilm Cinema Concern.
